Clovers, Crafts and Chickens

“May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow, And may trouble avoid you, wherever you go.” -Irish Blessing

The weather has started to get better, so we took our crafts outside today. We spent some time with our chickens while we did some clover stamps and green paint crafts for the upcoming holiday St. Patrick’s Day. The stamp I made is, four wine corks taped together to make a four-leaf clover stamp. We then poured some fun shades of green paint and I let my toddler have a great time with painting. I then also painted his hands so we could have some fun little green hand prints. When he was done we collected our chickens eggs from that morning. Our backyard hens live in a the little kid’s plastic playhouse and they are each a different breed so they each lay a different type of egg. We have a Welsummer, Cuckoo Maran, Mottled Java, and our little lady a Frizzle Bantam.
